Was the Valley of the Kings always so dry and arid? Was this dryness a selling point for ancient Egyptian burial practices of royalty? Do we have an origin story since it is pretty clear no one actually lived in this area, and it is a considerable distance from any established settlements?

Do we know what the upper portion of the Rosetta Stone says? I know Greek portions survive, so was there any more knowledge we could get from it if the Greek portions entirely survived?

Why is the William Tell story of him shooting an apple off his son's head the only story I've ever heard about him? As an American, it's little more than a fairy tale to me even though I know for people in Switzerland, the story is legendary.

I know already that pineapples were considered a luxury product prior to the 20th century, and that people would display them as centerpieces, but why would they let it go to waste and not eat it? Were there wealthy people who went through their lives displaying pineapples without even trying one?

It seems as if the most famous works by composers had received negative reviews from their contemporary critics. From a classical perspective, were such critics of the time strictly basing their perspectives off of predecessor works, or voicing their own opinions?
