Why can't we take a particle on Earth, put another on, say, Mars, and use quantum teleportation to send info faster than light?

I just saw a video saying that quantum teleportation between 2 particles is when the particles are entangled to have the same state as the other. It seems like we should be able to take one particle on earth and put another on Mars and send info at speed > c, but thats not possible. Why?
