Why is Antioch/Antakya a part of Turkey and not Syria? Historically it has consistently been administered as a part of Syria, including under the Roman, Ottoman, and then French Empires, and it is clearly in geographical Syria rather than geographical Anatolia. Why did the French give it to Turkey?
