I know someone who has a placenta encapsulation business. She claims a woman taking the pills of her powdered placenta will reduce the risk of post-partum depression, and many other ailments. Is this possible?

Two weeks ago I had a vasectomy. The doctor told me that there could be fertile sperm in my ejaculations for over 8 weeks. How is this possible? Wouldn't the "residual" ones left in the tubes die before that?
