Is Western Historians plain ignorance or ambivalence towards the Circassian Genocide proof that historians will almost always present a flawed or at best skewed reading of history for certain events, due to the prevalent biases/prejudices of their time?

The similarity between Tenochtitlan and Venice is mind-boggling. Also the Mayans loved Pyramids. Can we say for certain that the Mayans were not aware of the existence of Venice or the Egyptian pyramids and were not seeking to emulate these two?
