It occurs to me that considering the world population and the international spread of most viruses annually, there aren't really that many new ones spread each year. If you lived in an isolated tribe somewhere on the earth, how many viruses would you likely encounter during your lifetime, if any?

Is it true that being careless about handwashing etc could make your immune system "stronger"? Vaccines only ramp up relevant antibodies without infecting the body since they are often injected in very small amounts in oil so it doesn't spread easily yet persists.
