In 1923's US v. Bhagat Singh Thind, the Supreme Court denies citizenship - Indians were not seen to be Caucasian as 'commonly known'. I have a geography school textbook from the early 1900s that, in listing the races, placed Indian peoples as Caucasian. Did this view of the races never catch on?	3
