Why do we get tides on the opposite side of earth in relation to the moon? And why doesn't the moon's gravity effect any enclosed water body like the body itself?

Moons gravity causes tides, but how are tides caused on the other side of the earth which is in opposite to the moon? If the moon pushes the core of the earth more than the water on the other side then how can the water rise?
