If Nicotine is as addictive as hard drugs like Heroin, why does it seem like more people do crimes in order to pay for/get hard drugs? Is it just due to availability? Is it due to other qualitative differences between hard drugs and nicotine?

I've heard that using wood as fuel leaves a better carbon footprint than other sources, since the carbon stored in them is already part of the natural carbon cycle. If that's true, how much does it offset the emissions from transporting the wood in the first place?

This physics video says that, because light functions as a probability wave that takes all paths, you can place two mirrors adjacent to eachother and have the probability constructively interfere so that photons reflect as if there was a mirror between them. Has this ever been tried in practice?
