Bright neon vests and/or leashes could be helpful for going on walks in the evening. Head lamp flashlights could be useful as well for humans.

Be careful with power cords and puppies at home. Try to keep appliances unplugged and say “leave it” if your dog shows interest in chewing on the power cord. Use treats if command is followed.

If your dog gets anxious or frustrated around nail clippers, go slow and offer treats near the clippers. Take your time and each session could get easier.

Pet shelters and breeders should give people packets of info on basic positive reinforcement techniques for dog (and cat) training.

People could be interested in learning positive pet training, but if they don’t want to practice daily or think through the processes then that’s the issue with the pet owners.
