During the Cold and Gulf Wars American soldiers were taught to adapt to certain customs to avoid offending different cultures. Is there a record of different nations commanding their diplomats/soldiers to do and not do certain tasks to avoid offending the Americans?

Did the Japanese public/military ever wonder why Kyoto and Hiroshima never firebombed? Was there any suspicion they were being "saved" to showcase the full power of a nuclear blast? Or were the Japanese unasare of the extent to which the US has progressed?

Would an Axis victory eventually lead to a Cold War between Japan and Germany? Did Hitler ever plan/expect total war with Japan? Did the Japanese? Was it ever acknowledged/discussed internally by either side?

Did the US also plan to use nuclear weapons vs Germany? If so, what type of targets did they have in mind? Is it safe to assume if Germany didn't surrender, at least a couple cities would have been devastated by nuclear bombs?

What was the United States plan after they dropped the first two bombs without a surrender? Would the US have kept dropping nuclear bombs until a surrender? If so, was there a limit?
