When a metal glows red hot how much of that heat is released as light? Also can metals (like steel) burn instead of melt?

If a person was put into an oven which went up in temperature 1 degree per 5 minutes, what would be the maximum temperature that they could survive in indefinitely (provided they are an average healthy adult and remain hydrated/fed/etc.) Also at what point would they die of being 'cooked'?
