Why do bioluminescent organisms seem to only give off light in the yellow to green wavelength? Why are there no red or blue or violet lights produced by such organisms?

Is it possible for organisms to produce diamond and incorporate it into their anatomy in any way? If not at these pressures on the surface of the earth, could an extremophile at some great depth in the ocean do it?

Is it possible to have an acid, or base, that's not in aqueous solution but rather in solid or gas phase? Obviously you can have solid bases like NaOH, but acids, and if so why are they no more common as solids or gases?

If large concentrations of potassium ions in the extracellular space prevent contractile and nervous tissue from depolarizing does that mean you could inject table salt substitute, KCl, solution in your veins and not be able to move?
