Commutator noise from a dc motor will be seen as a (dependent) AC source by its supply battery. Does this small excitation of battery plates contribute to desulphination in a lead-acid battery? (i.e., is the commutator noise good for the battery?)

When some species of butterflies pupate, coloring from their skin/exoskeleton is grossly conserved into their wings. Is this because it's literally the same tissue (histology) in both, or is it because it's the same genetic engine driving the colouring on both?
