Water easily erodes away soft rock like limestone. If a drop of water lands on a piece of limestone at terminal velocity, how man atoms does it knock off?

Lets say an ice cube is cooled to within a millionth of a degree of absolute zero and was dropped into a smallish teacup filled with water chilled to one degree above freezing. Would it freeze the water?
