Today we label ourselves via "race" or "ethnicity". How did people in the classical world (Ancient Persia, Rome, Greece, Carthage etc.) label other demographics? Was it People's, species, or race etc?

Agriculture started in the Middle East and North America roughly around 10,000 B.C. Is it just coincidence that agriculture started around the same time with to cultures that had no interaction with each other?

How accepted is it among historians that the Indo-European people migrated/invaded into India and created a culture that light skin = superior. Is it also accepted or assumed that the Indo Europeans were lighter skinned than the indigenous Indian people at the time (Indus Valley Civilization) ?
