Tom Bissel writes that the Council of Chalcedon in 451 declared Christ 'perfect in divinity AND humanity', which pushed away the Miaphysite sect, who believed Christ to be wholly divine AND human. What am I missing about this historical split, they seem to agree? Is there more going on?
