How much of what we know about Nero has been exaggerated over the years? I've never heard anything good about his rule, sometimes I wonder why there were not massive riots given the fact he was so inept and sadistic.

When did cartographers decide which half of the earth is 'up' and which half is 'down'? Are there any instances of ancient maps where the earth is depicted 'upside-down,' with the northern and southern hemispheres switched?
