If singularities at the center of black holes don't really exist, or are just a problem with our current models, does that imply a problem with our model of the singularity before the Big Bang?

If we were magically able to view a supernova from close up (say, at a distance of 1 AU) without being touched by it, what would it look like? A balloon blowing up, or a bomb going off?

Why does Earth have such a ridiculous variety of minerals and things that help life flourish here? Does every planet have that kind of variety of resources, or do most planets have a much more sparse composition?

As long as a spacecraft didn't encounter anything else on its journey and didn't run out of fuel, why couldn't it ever reach the speed of light or faster (since there would be nothing in its way to slow it down or stop it)?
