by the time the Byzantines kicked the Vandals out of north Africa was there still a clear distinction in Carthage between native North Africans/Romans and Vandals, or had the two groups started to intermingle by that point (IE like Anglo-Saxons and Normans eventually did in England)?

What did upper class Romans (circa 75 BCE) think about men being openly gay? I know that as a matter of practicality they tolerated Roman men having sex with male slaves, but what did they think about men who went around publicly admitted that they had no sexual interest in women & only wanted men?
