Greeks believed that barbarians worshipped the same gods as them, e.g. Poseidon in Ethiopia. Jews believed goyim worshipped different gods from them, i.e. idols. What about barbarian goyim, e.g. Persians, Babylonians, etc? Did they believe other people worshipped the same gods as them?

Wikipedia says that the USA switched from bimetallism to fiat currency in the civil war, but I read elsewhere that "Bimetallism was never at any time maintained in the United States from 1783, and after 1861 there was no metal at all." Which is it, and why would there be controversy about it?
