Did the Confederate's have a plan if they won the civil war? Would Lincoln have been deposed by Davis? Would confederate law have been imposed on the northern states?

Why were monocles a thing? I understand that one eye can be weaker than the other. But I can't imagine that a piece of glass a few millimetres away from your eyeball would be very comfortable or even work well. We're eyeglasses considered unfashionable or even low class?

After the war of independence why didn't places like New York, New Jersey & New Hampshire (New England!?) change their names to something less British? Didn't they feel a necessity to distance themselves from anything English?
