[Meta] I’ve noticed the seemingly randomness and rarity of submitted questions being flaired. Who flairs them? Why are some posts flaired and others not? I’m not even suggesting the system (whatever it is) should be changed, just asking for clarification on what goes on behind the scenes

What’s the history of step-mothers being evil in European fairy tales? Did earlier versions of famous tales portray them differently, as I assume views on remarrying weren’t static over hundreds of years? Did the introduction of Christianity influence this somehow?

In DS9’s “Duet,” aired on June 14, 1993, a masterfully well-done allegory on the relationship between Holocaust victims/survivors and the Nazis that persecuted them is explored. Is it coincidence that this episode aired 6 months before Schindler’s List? Was 93 big for other Holocaust media?

My mom has a friend who was snuck out of the USSR when she was three with her family by a charity in the US that helped the “Soviet Jewery” who were heavily prosecuted get out. How exactly were Jews being persecuted? How hard was it to leave the USSR? What led up to charities is the US being formed
