I've always been taught that the Catholic Church silences Galileo because it was afraid his ideas were against scripture. Did the Catholic Church silence Galileo because he argued that his Heliocentric model went against scripture, or because the Catholic Church was against "science?" 📷

Bill and Ted’s EA (1989) has Freud reads Ted’s mind during a public therapy session. In Star Trek TNG (1987-1994), Counsellor Troi is half-alien and able to sense people’s emotions. Why did people think therapists could read minds in the 80s? Did they think that before?
