After WWII, there were thousands of West-European War Brides who emigrated to the USA or the UK. Were there also War Brides in Eastern-Europe who married Soviet soldiers and went to live in the Soviet-Union? If so, how were they treated?

In EP02 of Band of Brothers, Malarkey encounters a PoW who is a Volksdeutsche. He is German-American but his parents returned to Germany. Did Americans treat such PoW other than normal German PoW's? How was their fate after the war? And were there a lot of German-Americans who fought for Germany?
