Most domestic dogs exhibit strong stress responses when a family member/fellow dog dies or is missing for a long time. Is this a product of domestication, or do highly social wild canines (wolves, painted dogs, etc.) do the same when a packmate dies during a hunt or expires near the den?

Would the earliest tetrapodomorphs have had tadpoles/larvae like modern amphibians? What distinguishes the tadpoles/larvae of amphibians from the larval stage of, say, lungfish?
