In the show Marco Polo many of the Mongolian actors wear earrings and even a few of the characters are featured wearing gauge type earrings(those earrings that punch a huge hole in the bottom of your ear). Was this accurate? Did jewelry play a big part in the fashion of the Mongolian empire?
