Hi r/AskHistorians. I have been thinking about the Sea Peoples of ancient Egypt and I've gotta ask: Are we sure "Sea People" wasn't just a term for "sailor"? Mediterranean sailors would surely have made up their own culture back then like they have until modern times, wouldn't they?
