[WP] Generations ago, tattoos unexpectedly began changing DNA so that children are born with their parent's tattoos. Now, this has created a caste system, with groups such as The Unmarked, with no tattoos in their ancestry, the Children of the Prisons, who have their family's prison numbers etc.
