[WP] The middle part of the 21st century, C.E., witnessed discoveries that suggested that the universe looked more like "The Call of Cthulhu" than the book of Genesis. Many went mad, or retreated into a new Dark Age. Some, though, chose a middle ground, and went into the Cosmic Horror business.
