Why does shearing a sheep not hurt the sheep, but shearing a chicken, duck, or goose, or plucking the chicken's/duck's/goose's feathers, hurt the chicken/duck/goose? Is there any possible way to shear or pluck the feathers of a chicken/duck/goose without hurting the chicken/duck/goose?
