Diorama of the ancient Native American village at Etowah mound site in Georgia USA. Sorry it's a little murky--blame it on the plexiglass cover. Seen in person, it's amazingly detailed and well done.

Excellent diorama of the Battle of Fort Donelson, located in the Iowa state history museum. (Bonus points if you can find the guy leading the charge with the American flag— in reality a 19-yr-old Iowan named Voltaire Twombly.)
