Hello guys we have an old telephone box from verizon mounted on the side of the house with the line to the pole. Not in use anymore and i want to take it off and to abandon the line do I call Verizon to do this? It was for land line phones in the whole house

This was a hairline crack and is now a bit more.. maybe I have a foundation issue? Has is a ranch on a slab. Some doors are hard to close in the house, it I checked the hinge screws and some just spin.. thoughts?
