The uniform coat worn by British Admiral Horatio Nelson at the battle of Trafalgar on October 21st, 1805. The small white hole below the left epaulette is from the French snipers bullet which killed him.

No better place to start this sub! The Battle of Nile(Aboukir Bay) begins on this day in 1798 during Napoleon's Egyptian campaign, with the British led by Horatio Nelson, routing the French fleet, which lost 9 ships, and around 5000 killed. And it made the British dominant in the Mediterranean.
