As I understand it, in the 1960's, East Germany (The Deustsch Demokratic Republik) openly found evidence that Homosexuality was a natural occurrence, rather than being a mental illness. How did this affect other countries in their decisions on LGTBQ+ people, particularly in Communist nations?

There is a common trope surrounding the Vietnam War in media (e.g. the X-files episode 'Unrequited') where French and mainly American POW's were left to die by the government. It's been decades since the War, Vietnam seems to be a representative republic now - Is there any truth to this trope?

So, is the "Type" thing with Chinese/Japanese equipment (Type 100 submachine gun, e.g.), the same thing as the M/Model stuff in English (M16A1 for example)?
