Basil II was an Eastern Roman Emperor who ruled from 976-1025. He is known for reconquests of lots of Roman land in Bulgaria, Armenia, and Georgia. He is known as the "Bulgar Slayer" for his many conflicts against them and his blinding of the enemy army.
