The Nand Game (nandgame.com) shows how all logic gates can be built out of NAND gates. Can this be done with any logic gate as a starting point, and if not, what makes NAND (and any other gates with which it's possible, if any) special?

In the Monty Hall Problem, after a door's chosen, the opened unchosen door is always a loser, and the chosen door's win chance is still 1/3. But what if the opened unchosen door is truly random? If it's a winner, the chosen door's win chance becomes 0. But what if it's a loser?

I recently remembered a controversial theory stating that since rich people tend to have kids with rich people and poor with poor, and rich people can afford to be choosier about looks, humans will (if we survive long enough) evolve into a beautiful species and an ugly one. Is this plausible?
