What would happen to dogs if humans suddenly disappeared? Would they return to their wolf roots in a few generations, or has interaction with humans fundamentally changed them such that new pack behavior would emerge?

Are humans the only mammal to have Downss Syndrome? I've never heard the term used in reference to other primates, so assuming it is humans only then what makes us so special? (pun not intended)
