In 1971, a jet crashed into 3 Long Island Sound cottages near the runway to Tweed-New Haven Airport. 28 were killed and new FAA standards were issued that still exist. The history of the airport and its namesake (Jack Tweed) is very intriguing. Podcast link in comments.
