Do you like having Fallout being mixed in with Lovecraftian-esque horror? If so, why, and which game do you think did it best, out of all of them?

Not sure this exactly fits here, but just wanted to ask, has anyone playing on the Epic Games version of Fallout 3 ACTUALLY have been able to start the game? Whenever I try to booth up a New Game (I.e. my first one) it just crashes)
