When I fail a rep on the first set I drop the weight by 5 or 10. Usually just so I can do more reps and get a workout. Is that wrong. I just want to make sure I'm working out the muscle

I have an overpay due in 10 days. IV tried to pay it online but the form what's a letter ID number.. in the email I got it didn't have anything like that. It also said I'm going to recive another letter that explains my wages? Am I waiting for another letter that's going to have the letter ID?
