I imagine many here have experienced grabbing a specific number of items when drawing cutlery, dealing cards, pouring liquids, cutting, or pretty much anything requiring what would be a 'seemingly' random, generalized approximation, measurement, outcome, count, or whatever variable you want to use..

As video game characters become more human-like, we experience a strange discomfort known as the uncanny valley. Could this be a sign that we are subconsciously recognizing something familiar, perhaps a glimpse of our own simulated reality?

Time in a Simulated Reality: Is "Time" Linear, Nonlinear, or Something Else? Time as a linear progression is a fundamental assumption of our reality. We experience it as a constant flow from past to present to future. However, within the framework of a simulated reality, could this be illusionary..?
