In the recent Falcon Heavy Launch, once the rocket entered the upper atmosphere, the exhaust turned a shade of dark red. Does anyone know the chemical process that is occurring to cause this shift in color?

If electrolisys of water creates seperate Hydrogen and Oxygen molecules, why wouldnt this be an effectice way to combat climate change (by taking water from the rising oceans and turning it into oxygen lost due to decreasing tree populations)?
