If the universe is infinite and everything that can happen will happen, could I travel to a point in space where the universe is exactly the same as where I left? Effectively getting back to where I started even though I've traveled trillions of light years in one direction?

Are black holes black because they just emit hyper-redshifted light, or are they actually black? It doesn't make sense to have infinite density, does it?
