We have a perfect cube and it always stays the same. If we drop it in a perfect vacuum x times in exactly the same manner (time/location/rotation etc.) would it always produce the same results?

On case of a meltdown in a nuclear reactor I assume the molten core is collected on a basin like structure at the bottom of the reactor. Would it be possible to guide it in a way that makes it subcritical/easier to recover?
