It is Oct 3, 1990; Germany has been reunited. Just days ago, I was a citizen of East Germany. What changes for me? What would change for a West German citizen? Would either experience culture shock if they were to move to the other side?

I've heard that some of the original Stonehenge rocks were taken by locals for use in building. Is this common for ancient constructions? At what point did people start making efforts to preserve things like Stonehenge?
