From the few documentaries and TV shows I've watched, I get the picture that the Vikings didn't seem too interested to take prisoners. It was kill and destroy. From your own perspective how did they handle defeated enemies? Links are welcome.

We now know some of the reasons why people circumcise or get circumcised in the modern world. Do we know why they did it in ancient times around the world, or when the practice began?
