(SPOILERS MAYBE) In Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 9, the battle in that episode resulted in large piles of dead bodies throughout the battlefield as the battle was fought. Are there any examples of battles in history where this actually happened?

Massive wild fires are a regular occurrence every year in California. Even with thousands of firefighters with the best training and equipment it is still extremely difficult to contain many of these fires.
