Could anyone guess what these roots are? I am trying to save an azalea that isn’t thriving and found these roots near it. I accidentally chopped them but I don’t know what they are. I have a GIANT VERY old rhododendron and a giant spruce ab 15ft+ which I imagine/hope it isn’t part
