I actually think Montague John Druitt is a pretty interesting suspect. A number of things about his life do check the boxes for being the Ripper.

Is Jack the Ripper so well remembered because it happened in London during the Victorian era where the newspaper business had been just invented shortly before the murders occurred?

There's no way the "Dear Boss" and "From Hell" letters were written by the same letter writer. The writing styles couldn't be any less different.
